D & C Arms, LLC is a small family-owned business located just outside of Lexington, in the Redbank community. Family is everything and we want you to learn the proper firearm operation and have the safest learning experience.
Our instructors are NRA Certified Basic Pistol and Sled Certified SC CWP.
We offer experienced shooters the SLED (South Carolina Law Enforcement) approved course to obtain a SC Concealed Weapons Permit.
We offer training for the beginner- novice shooters (Basic Pistol Shooting Class) to guide them through the process of learning how to properly handle and fire their firearm safely so they can attend the CWP class.
Our main goal is SAFETY, and proper firearm handling while you learn in our classes. We are here to educate you on personal protection, gun safety and proper cleaning of your firearm.
We complete all the necessary paperwork that you will need to schedule your appointment with Identogo to obtain your CWP.

Basic Handgun Safety classes are taught on an as-needed basis. You must feel comfortable holding, loading, unloading, and shooting your handgun to attend a CWP class.
This class is the perfect introduction to guns and will help you feel comfortable holding your gun and learning basic safety precautions. You will need this class to attend the CWP class.
CWP Classes
We offer CWP classes on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.
This course is “NOT” for Beginners” or “Learn to Shoot”
You are expected to be familiar with your firearm and be prepared to qualify on the shooting range.

To Complete CWP Certification: Once your course is completed you will need to sign up for digital printing. SLED has teamed up with IdentoGo to do digital fingerprinting. Once your course is completed, you will register online to schedule a time to be fingerprinted. SLED no longer charges a fee for your background check.

Don Shealy is an experienced classroom instructor; he is certified by the National Rifle Association (NRA) and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) certified Concealed Weapon Permit CWP instructors to teach handgun safety classes for South Carolina.
